Here’s a version with a Rickenbacker bass track (the way I originally intended for this song).
A sequenced Minimoog provides the tense rhythm track and the ominous bass / lead is the Minimoog being played live.
This one features a 2011 Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster (doubled except during solos). It was played through a Fender Mustang III modeling amp set for a Fender ’65 Deluxe amp with a ’63 spring reverb and a pitch shifter effect that made it sound like a 12-string. A 2012 Rickenbacker 4003 was used on the bass track. A BeatBuddy was used for the drums.

This song features the Minimoog on synth bass and lead. A Moog Mavis was used to create the cello-like strings using my “cello hack” setting on the Electro-Harmonix Oceans 12 reverb pedal. A BeatBuddy was used for the drum track.

I felt like this song was missing a few things…mostly bass and percussion. This version fixes that with the addition of a Rickenbacker bass track, an egg shaker, a rattle and some brass chimes.
