The March of the Pumpkin People

A spooky avant garde recording just in time for Halloween. This original track was composed “on the fly” as it was being performed on a Moog Mavis analog synth module housed in a eurorack keyboard (NiftyKEYZ). It made use of the Wave Folder circuitry on the Moog as well as two LFOs to further modulate the waveforms – one on the Moog and one on the NiftyKEYZ.

Synth Du Jour

This song started as yet another song idea I had from several years ago. I had recorded some guitar chords into my Digitech Trio+pedal and had it create backing drums and bass. Then it stayed in that pedal for quite some time before I decided to use it as a backing track for testing my latest musical gizmo – a Moog Mavis analog synth. I liked what I heard, so I made this demo recording. I’ll probably go back and add my own bass track at some point. Note: this version now has me playing bass on my Rickenbacker 4003 bass.
